Christian Education

Our Sunday School is educating families, single moms and dads, young adults, and children. We provide a balanced approach to the study of scripture that equips students to know God and live life. Our curriculum takes students through the entire bible every seven years. Sunday School meets every Sunday morning at 10:00.

The Wednesday evening Bible Discussion is designed to equip believers for life and ministry. These discussions focus on various books of the Bible and scriptural topics. Please join us this Wednesday evening at 6:30 P.M. for the free evening meal and at 7:00 P.M. for our discussion of topics relevant to life.

Kids Under Construction, our Children's Church, is divided into two age groups on Sunday mornings:

1) 6-12 year old children which meets in the youth buidling at 11am with Robin Whitehead

2) 2-5 year old children which meets after the worship service with Robyn McCarty

Missionettes

Missionettes is the Assemblies of God national ministry for girls and young women between the ages of 3 and 17. The program began in the early 1950s when women began to see a need for a ministry to teach missions principles to young women and to prepare them for future involvement with the Women's Ministries program of the Assemblies of God. While there have been changes in the program since then with regard to age requirements, curriculum, etc., the ultimate purpose of Missionettes - winning girls to Jesus Christ and teaching them to live according to Christ's principles - has never changed. Join these young ladies and their leaders every Wednesday evening at seven o'clock.

Royal Rangers
Royal Rangers is a national program to meet the physical, spiritual, mental and social needs of boys and young men ages five through 17. The ultimate goal is to help boys recognize and assume their place of leadership as responsible followers of Jesus Christ. Our motto is to reach, teach and keep boys for Christ. We recognize that the boys we reach today will be the leaders of tomorrow! Dedicated leaders, called commanders, provide boys the necessary direction during a weekly outpost meeting. The meetings are designed to develop the total boy for Christ and offer love and understanding between the boy and a godly role model. To learn more here click here.

Xtreme Teens

Superficial change, although dynamic, won’t last long. The kind of change that God wants to make in our lives will last forever! Only God could turn a Jacob (deceiver) into an Israel (a prince who has power with God). He turned Saul, the chief of sinners, into Paul the apostle, a mighty soul winner. If we want a Divine Makeover, then we must admit that we need it, ask God for it, give Him complete control, endure the surgery and get ready for the awesome results. In His capable hands we will be transformed into the image of Christ! Let Him do it!

Come join our worship band and youth leaders at 7PM for extreme worship and be challenged and equipped to live a radical Christian life. After our youth service come hang out with us at the Cafe' with games, food and lots of fun fellowship. For more information, please visit our Youth Web Site.

Xtreme Teens is rated "R" for RADICAL. Attend at your own risk.

Worship Music
The musicians and singers who minister at Point Assembly love to worship and bring us into his presence. Our main worship leader is Clay Norwood and we also have 4 other worship leaders - Robby Russ, Tamara Bennett, Tracie Stroud and Cary Ziegler. We feel that rotating our leaders gives more variety to fit everyone's different taste in music styles. To view the worship schedule please click here.

Helping Hands
When fire destroys a home or sickness attacks the primary bread winner of a family, Helping Hands makes a difference. Helping Hands is a cooperative ministry made up of various Union Parish churches from different denominations. We provide food and clothing to families and individuals who are facing hard times due to disaster or disease. For more information please Contact Us.
