Missionettes is the Assemblies of God national ministry for young girls between the ages of 3 and 12. The program began in the early 1950s when women began to see a need for a ministry to teach missions principles to young women and to prepare them for future involvement with the Women’s Ministries program of the Assemblies of God. While there have been changes in the program since then with regard to age requirements, curriculum, etc., the ultimate purpose of Missionettes – winning girls to Jesus Christ and teaching them to live according to Christ’s principles – has never changed.
